Walt Sweeney Ford Launches Food Drive to Benefit Camp Cupboard, a Local Free Store
Walt Sweeney Ford is excited to announce its participation in the World's Largest Dealer Food Drive, a nationwide initiative aimed at fighting hunger. From September 15 to September 25, the dealership will be collecting non-perishable food donations to support Camp Cupboard, a free store ministry in Camp Washington UCC that serves the community of Camp Washington and surrounding neighborhoods.
Camp Cupboard provides a vital resource for families and individuals in need, offering a "shopping" experience where all items, including food, clothing, and household goods, are available at no cost. The ministry operates on a simple principle: "What is so freely given to us, we freely share with our neighbors."
We are proud to be a part of the World's Largest Dealer Food Drive, and even more so to partner with an incredible organization like Camp Cupboard. Hunger is a challenge right here in our own backyard, and the work that Camp Cupboard does to provide dignity and support to our neighbors is truly inspiring. We are calling on our customers and the entire Cincinnati community to join us in this effort and help fill our donation bins.
Donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the Walt Sweeney Ford dealership, located at 5400 Glenway Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45238, during regular business hours between September 15 and September 25. The most-needed items for Camp Cupboard's pantry include:
• Canned meats (tuna, chicken)
• Canned vegetables and fruits
• Peanut butter and jelly
• Pasta and pasta sauce
• Cereal and oatmeal
• Soups and stews
• Snacks (granola bars, crackers)
In addition to food, the dealership will also accept personal hygiene products, which are always in high demand at the free store.
